[I Will Survive]

hmm..well...

i must say...ive never seen such awesome animation with such shitty drawing...but its okay, because Home Movies does the same thing...yea that doesnt make sense but im too drunk to go back and delete shit and what not...
my negative critique is that i saw something just like this for somebodys demo reel application for Pixar studios...same premise, but with an alien singing and a disco ball dropped on him...im not sayin you bit..but it's already been done.
good job anyway, i liked it...as if my approval matters.

Thats funny, I sort of thought that the drawings were better than the crap animation personally. The backgrounds were total crap though, I just sort of threw them in after it was done cause a plain white back is sort of boring. Oh and I know about the Alien Song, it is what I based this off of, I didn't feel like being particularly creative for my first vid, I just wanted to get a feel for the program and get something done that I didn't have to spend any time planning or story boarding. Thanx for the review.

...seriously though...i say you spend more time on developing the story and animationand less time on the actual drawing, ....you can obviously draw, so if you work on the storyline...it will excel beyond most of these chumps on newgrounds....

It's NOT supposed to a story---it's a preview, mostly made up of clips from the animations that have storylines..

well u obviously dontknow what youre doing...

if you have troubles like that then that's just garbage.....maybe you cant get your lines in the style you want...but dont worry bout t hat, just let it happen how it happens...thats what defines your style. and relax...creating this stuff is supposed to be for fun and expression...dont get worked up just cause one little line doesnt work out like you want it to...move on and let it add character to your film.....

I don't really freak out like that, I was just for the added humor, and I know to use then pen tool, thats how I did My animation, I just made this for people to get a small chuckle out ot it.

what do you use to illustrate your toons with? a graphics pen? keep up the animations on NG... i enjoy watching them.

To answer your question, I sketch the characters in pencil, scan 'em in, clean 'em up in Illustrator and import them to Flash. It's a lot of steps, but I feel it gives me the most control over what the characters will look like.

The animation style and artistic talent were great. However i must say the storyline blew, the joke bombed, and it wasnt very funny. Some of the little things were funny, but the punchline at the end wasnt. Work out the written part more before animating your next one. .. However, i do definitely look forward to your next short.

Thanks for the kudos and the constructive crit! This was a toon I needed to get out of my system since it tested a lot of the things I had learned and discovered in Flash. After watching "Bye Bye Bunny", I'm sure you can relate. The jokes are there, but they just don't quite hit home.

Congrats...you are truly the Duchamp of Flash animation. If i wanted to watch that garbage i could've popped in a DVD of Episode I. But at least what you are completely lacking in creativity you make up in poor animation. I am sorry you wasted so much time on that puddle of smegma....as i am sorry i wasted my time downloading it.
