[Metal Gear Awesome 2]

ok..good and ehh

ok it was awesome x 2. but... the first one wass sooo much cooler..the timing was way better and the jokes were way more concise and impactful. i liked the character development in this one, but i think it may have detracted from the overall funny of the first one...dunno? i like the quick cuts from the first one..and moving from joke to joke. this one was good but i liked the first one better. isn't that the way it usually goes for successful directors?

I've always loved your creations within this world. Beautiful artwork accompanied by some pretty nice animation. I've definitely learned a lot from watching your films, and continue to do so every time I see a new one. You are definitely a pioneer when it comes to finding cutting edge ways to use Flash as an animator's tool. I think in this film I have to say that your lighting was the most rewarding. Shadows sprinkled here and there, glistens in the water droplets...the water reflection on Bitey's belly in the river....all very well articulated. The particles were cool too...however every now and again I think they were distracting/too attractive, not sure which. The music was great..I'm glad it was in a similar style to the Pogues you used before. Great tunes. Thumbs up! Lookin' forward to the feature.

Pretty nice job..i liked it.

When the guy sprints, I think the background should change more...it's too obvious the same bkgd was used. Also, I think the ending could have been a lot stronger.

Other than that the animation was pretty good...I think you need to try not to over use the skewing of the character b/c that detracted just a bit from the quality.

Very nice style overall..I liked watching it..well done.

Love the song..a few suggestions.

I thought the animation was pretty cool. Nice composition and camera work. The timing was nice too, but that's probably due to tthe fact that you animated to the music.

I think a bit less literal interpretation of the lyrics would have been more interesting, instead of just depicting what was being said. Also I think you should have integrated a story..even if loosely. Give the main character an objective to tie in the various scenes. These additions would make this good piece a great piece.

excellet artwork and style

The artwork in this was excellent. Nice compositions/colors/designs... everything was great. Nice job with the bees/bee cloud. It was a bit weird when the style changed to a photoshop painting..but I didn't really mind it. I love the long, lanky style of the character.

I think a few of your shots hold a bit too long...such as the black screen and meanwhile screen. They seem to bring the story to a screeching halt momentarily which is a bit annoying.

Other than that I thought it was badass.

Very lucid...very intriguing.

I normally hate shit like this, but this shit was the shit. You captured the unpredictability and altered state of mind of the lsd very nicely. I thought the voice track was perfect...the scratchy mic only made it more fitting. I know you spent a lot of time planning out each layout and palette, and it deefinitely shows. Another thing I liked about this film is it actually reminded me of Poe's The Tell Tale HEart..which was cool. I thought this was a GREAT Halloween entry...fuck pumpkins and scarecrows..those bitches are too scary.

well done

I liked everything from the colors, cinematography and quite nice animation. It was a little cutsey for me but was definitely well done. My only suggestion would be the sequence where the boy tries to approach the edge and his mother keeps stopping him. These seemed like jump cuts, maybe inserting a scene of her slapping the halter on him, kind of like the scene where she grabs his tail, would smooth it out and make it a little more coherent...or at least show some sort of passage of time between the cuts such as a fade?

this film is very unique and entertaining! the concept is excellent and is carried out equally superb. great smooth animation as well as very clever use of the flash interface. i love the materiality of it, and the homage you give to the tool itself. great job, i would try to sell this to macromedia as an ad.
